Wrongful Conviction Day 2026

On 4 October 2026, Justice for All organised an event to mark Wrongful Conviction Day—a day dedicated to raising awareness of wrongful convictions and remembering those whose lives have been profoundly affected by miscarriages of justice.

The event provided an opportunity to bring people together to reflect on the serious and lasting consequences of wrongful convictions, to hear from those directly affected, and to highlight the importance of justice, accountability, and meaningful reform.

Wrongful convictions do not affect only the person imprisoned. They can have devastating consequences for families, friends, and communities, while the true impact can continue for many years after a conviction. For those who have spent years or even decades in prison for crimes they did not commit, the journey towards justice and rebuilding their lives can be extraordinarily difficult.

Justice for All remains committed to supporting people affected by wrongful convictions and to raising awareness of the issues that contribute to miscarriages of justice. Wrongful Conviction Day is an important reminder that justice must not end with a conviction—it must also include a commitment to finding the truth and correcting injustice when it occurs.

We thank everyone who participated in and supported our Wrongful Conviction Day event and who continues to stand with those seeking justice.
